About Hamlan
The Hamlan Story
Hamlan Homes commenced trading in early 1983.
One of the first projects was the rebuilding of a Real Estate office in Aireys Inlet, destroyed in the 'Ash Wednesday' bushfires. It wasn't long before Hamlan Homes was asked to rebuild homes in the area, from Torquay to Apollo Bay.
A range of affordable, yet attractive 'Holiday Homes' (mostly Cedar Clad) were very popular as replacements for homes destroyed in the fires or as home for holiday makers and permanent residents alike.Hamlan Homes soon carved a niche along the 'Surf Coast' and the business grew strongly through the late 80's.
In 1989 Hamlan Homes branched into other markets to continue to grow. This included suburban, brick veneer homes and various Government projects.
A loyal, well trained workforce combined with an enthusiasm to succeed allowed Hamlan Homes to flourish in tough economic times.
Since then, the company has continued to grow, building Child Care Centres, Offices, Restaurants, Shopping Centres and Aged Care Facilities.
Hamlan Homes now constructs upwards of 300 homes annually plus various medium density and commercial projects. Hamlan Homes is now one of the top builders in Victoria.
Building from Craigieburn in Melbourne's north through to Caroline Springs in Western Melbourne, Werribee, Greater Geelong including Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast to Apollo Bay, Colac and Ballarat. The diversity in market penetration should ensure a long future in the industry.
Hamlan Homes are Master Builders Award Winners for 2007 in the categories of Best Sustainable Energy Home and Best Display Home for the South Western Region.
